Stewardship (Pleasant River, June  2004) - Although it is not required that stewards be landowners, many folks who do own property where Blanding’s turtles live have been a great help. Here, Gerald is hoeing up a row of beans in his vegetable garden so that we can place a protective screen over a Blanding’s turtle nest that has just been laid there. Thanks Gerald!
